TM – Do I need to check the suggestions from the translation memory?

If it's a repetition, you can auto-propagate it without checking.
If it's a 100% or fuzzy match, yes, you must always check that the translation memory suggestion is appropriate to the context of your file. You are paid to check the memory suggestions.
If the translation memory contains mistakes, you need to amend it.
