I need more information about GDPR before accepting the T&C. Where can I find them?
The European GDPR law aims to protect the personal data and privacy of European Union citizens. Any business or professional, whether resident in the EU or not, must comply with the rules of this law when dealing with EU resident clients (in this case, TextMaster and its clients).
Therefore, when you agree to work with us, you are committing to implement appropriate systems and processes to comply with client data protection laws.
Under GDPR, the following types of personal data are protected: basic personal data (such as name, address, ID number), web data (IP address, location, cookie data, etc.), health and biometric data, race or ethnic data, political opinions and sexual orientation.
GDPR rules do not apply to data that is processed for purely personal purposes or activities carried out in the home environment. However, such data must not be linked to any commercial or professional activity.
In summary, you must ensure that you do not use the personal information of TextMaster and its clients for other commercial purposes.
Of course, TextMaster is committed to the same rules with regard to the personal data of its translators.
